Alitalia goes CROSSMOS

Alitalia is going to introduce CROSSMOS® eTLB

Alitalia signed contract with CrossConsense to implement the CROSSMOS® eTLB. The decision to implement an electronic techlog is part of the process of “paperless maintenance” and the reason for Alitalia for heading towards paperless maintenance is not only saving paper, environmental resources, time and money but also to accelerate the provision and transmission of information.

Thanks to the new agreement signed with CrossConsense, Alitalia will be able to save more than 10 tons of paper every year, with a significant reduction of the effects of the environmental impact. Furthermore, the CROSSMOS eTLB solution implemented by the airline will facilitate and accelerate analysis, transmission and share of crucial information in the maintenance processes.

The reason for deciding in favour of CROSSMOS was the fully functional bi-directional interface to the maintenance backend system of the Alitalia group as well as the open and honest negotiations during the decision process.

Alitalia had a clear vision in mind when it decided to move forward with the “Paperless maintenance” process: in order to pursue efficiency and effectiveness in every single maintenance process, eTLB was a mandatory step and the best solution to implement a real “paperless maintenance”. The airline did also a hard work thinking in particular at its internal process re-engineering and, above all, at changing everyone’s mental approach in order to adapt to the new optimized business processes.

ISO 9001:2015 Certification

CrossConsense receives ISO 9001:2015 certification

We at CrossConsense are proud to announce that we are now certified to ISO 9001:2015 for the management system of AMOS consulting and AMOS user support, sales and customer support of ILS products as well as development and sales of CROSSMOS. Our registrar – the TÜV Technische Überwachung Hessen GmbH – handed out the ISO 9001:2015 certification to signal a successful end of the audit.

After having received our first ISO 9001:2008 certification in 2009 we have been further developing our quality management system to improve the overall performance, maintain even a higher level of quality and a stronger customer service. During the last couple of months, CrossConsense underwent an evaluation process that included quality management system development as well as a quality management system documentation review.

We integrate the attitude of high quality for our service as well as for our products in our daily work and continuously challenge ourselves to improve our quality management system to provide products and services that meet or exceed the needs and expectations of our customers, always in compliance with existing specifications and regulations.

And, of course, we now will not sit back and take things easy but will continuously work on an advanced quality management system.

Siggi Gestsson and Udo Stapf on stage in Hollywood

CrossConsense & Rhino Aviation in Hollywood

On last weeks ILS Connect Summit taking place in Beverly Hills (Hollywood), Siggi Gestsson from Rhino Aviation and myself had a joined presentation on Business Intelligence (my part) and a practical application of Business Intelligence with regard to the ILS electronic marketplace (Siggi’s part). We pointed out that data in itself is not intelligent but that you need the right people and the suitable applications to make data and – following this – your business intelligent. If you are an ILS customer and want to learn more about the Rhino Analytical Studio (ILS integration with MRO Software), please do not hesitate to contact us at marketing@crossconsense.de.

Lufthansa CityLine implements CROSSMOS

Lufthansa CityLine implements CROSSMOS® – A case study

In the newest edition of the Aircraft IT Operations a case study was published how Lufthansa CityLine prepared the implementation of CROSSMOS® Electronic Technical Logbook (eTL/eLB). The case study focuses on the minimum requirements of Lufthansa CityLine which had to taken into account before deciding in favor of a certain eTLB:

  • Because of the small cockpit size on current aircraft, compatibility with already existing hardware was important.
  • As Lufthansa CityLine does not currently have in-flight connectivity, the solution had to be one that does not require constant connection to ground.

If you want to learn more about the other reasons why Lufthansa CityLine decided to implement an eTechLog and about the preparations they made to implement CROSSMOS® , please do not hesitate to contact us by writing an email to marketing@crossconsense.de or sign up for the case study by following this link:

AeroLogic goes CROSSMOS

AeroLogic goes CROSSMOS®

AeroLogic signed contract with CrossConsense to implement the CROSSMOS® eTLB. The joint venture of DHL Express and Lufthansa Cargo currently operates 10 Boeing 777F Aircraft in a worldwide route network with destinations in Europe, Middle East, Asia, North and South America. By implementing CROSSMOS® AeroLogic is taking an important step moving towards paperless maintenance.

Michael Geis, SVP CAMO at Aerologic says: “The signs point towards growth for AeroLogic and its fleet size. Implementing CROSSMOS is an important step to optimize processes and get prepared for the future. The eTLB will reduce manual data recording, provides real-time Aircraft status at any time and substantially simplifies maintenance handling for flight crews, maintenance and operations control. As a side effect we expect higher data quality thus less control efforts. We are confident that CROSSMOS is the right tool to streamline processes and workflows to continuously ensure and enhance efficiency, punctuality, reliability and safety of our cargo operation.”

About AeroLogic: AeroLogic is a German cargo airline based in Schkeuditz near Leipzig. It is a joint-venture between DHL Express and Lufthansa Cargo which operates scheduled international and long-haul cargo services out of its hubs Leipzig/Halle Airport and Frankfurt Airport. The company was founded September 2007. Both of Aerologic’s shareholders are the company’s customers at the same time thus making use of the capacities of the air freighters. Aerologic started commercial operation in 2009 with a fleet of 8 Boeing 777 freighter. 2017 the Aerologic’s fleet size has been increased by two additional Boeing 777. This is a great commitment by the airlines shareholders to Aerologic’s operation and the ongoing success story.

Conference call SWISS about CROSSMOS

Talk to the experts!

During the last couple of months, our launching customer SWISS International Air Lines received a lot of enquiries from other airlines regarding SWISS’ implementation and operation of CROSSMOS®, the electronic techlog.

Questions like which kind of authentication SWISS is using, questions about the back-up process and hit a lot of other generic and specific topics were asked.

CrossConsense together with SWISS decided to have a conference call to which we would like to invite all interested airline employees. You will get the opportunity to discuss with us and experts from SWISS how they implemented CROSSMOS®, about their experience in operation and if they regretted the step of going paperless.

The conference call takes place on Tuesday, March 13th, 2018, at two different times:

07:00 UTC (≙ 08:00 Central Europe Time)

16:00 UTC (≙ 17:00 Central Europe Time)

Please follow this link to sign up for the conference call. Even if you do not have time to participate, you might fill out the questionnaire if there is anything you want to ask the SWISS experts directly.

We are looking forward to talking to you.

Galileo medical and training therapy device for Anja

Some time ago, the management of CrossConsense decided not to give away any Christmas presents or postcards to customers anymore but to spend money for those who need a ray of hope in their life. To achieve this, we are working together with MainLichtblick e.V., a non-profit-organization located in Frankfurt that takes care about seriously ill, physically impaired and traumatized children.
We are now glad to tell you, that we (together with other supporters) could fulfill the wish of Anja’s parents. Here is her story (this is a translation of the text that can be found on MainLichtblick’s website.

Desired: Galileo

MainLichtblick e.V. is very happy about these lines of Anja’s family:
“We would like to sincerely thank you and the generous donors for the Galileo of our daughter!
Anja practices daily and diligently and has learned crawling in a relatively short time by the good strengthening of her muscle power. And since the weekend she even manages to pull herself up and stand on her own feet – it’s so wonderful, how beautiful.”
Thanks to many helping hands and the great donations (made by CrossConsense, family Kimpel and to Natascha and Lothar Krebs of Krebs illustration studios), we could give this ray of hope and help little Anja to feelings of success. Helping is good!
